Information We Collect
We collect information needed to provide, sync, process, secure, and support Post Recall. This can include:
- Account and contact information, such as your email address, Apple sign-in identifier, display name, internal user ID, authentication tokens, account settings, and support messages.
- Saved content you choose to add, including URLs, page titles, source domains, source apps, notes, screenshots, images, PDFs, files, selected text, saved dates, tags, summaries, OCR text, and item metadata.
- Email forwarding content, if you use an inbound email feature, including the forwarded email address, message metadata, subject, body, and attachments needed to save the email to your library.
- Generated organization data, such as suggested tags, embeddings, search indexes, recall suggestions, processing status, preview images, extracted text, and AI-generated summaries.
- Search, browsing, and interaction data, such as searches run in Post Recall, search mode, result counts, opened results, saved URLs and source domains, items opened, recall actions, archive/delete actions, uploads, exports, and feature-limit usage.
- Subscription and purchase information from Apple or another payment provider, such as product ID, subscription plan, renewal state, expiration date, transaction identifiers, and App Store Server notification data. We do not store full payment card details.
- Device, usage, and diagnostic information, such as device type, browser type, approximate timestamps, API requests, upload size, processing failures, crash or error information, performance information, and other logs used to maintain and troubleshoot the service.
Most Post Recall data is linked to your account because the service needs to keep your private library available across the app, share extension, web dashboard, API, and support channels.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate, improve, secure, and support Post Recall. This includes:
- Saving, syncing, displaying, searching, organizing, archiving, and deleting your saved items.
- Creating previews, summaries, tags, OCR text, embeddings, and recall suggestions for content you save.
- Personalizing your saved library, such as showing relevant boards, tags, sources, recall suggestions, search results, and account-specific limits.
- Authenticating your account, enabling paid features, enforcing plan limits, processing subscriptions, providing support, and troubleshooting bugs.
- Measuring product reliability and quality, such as save-success rates, search quality, processing failures, feature usage, storage usage, and infrastructure performance.
- Preventing abuse, protecting accounts, complying with legal obligations, and enforcing our terms.
We do not use your private saved library for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
AI and Search Processing
Post Recall may use AI, OCR, embedding, and machine learning services to summarize saved content, suggest tags, extract text from screenshots or files, generate search indexes, rank search results, and resurface useful saves. Saved content may be sent to service providers for these features when processing is enabled, requested, or needed to provide your plan's features.
We do not use your private saved library to create public profiles, social feeds, or advertising segments. AI-generated summaries, tags, OCR, search results, and recall suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate, so you should review important information before relying on it.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your saved content or personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use advertising networks to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help with hosting, databases, storage, authentication, analytics, diagnostics, observability, email, payments, customer support, and AI processing.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, legal process, security needs, or to protect the rights and safety of Post Recall, users, or others.
- Business transition parties if Post Recall is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Third-Party Content
Post Recall helps you save or reference content from websites, apps, and platforms you choose, usually through the iOS Share Sheet, manual save, upload, or email forwarding. Your saved items are private to your account by default. Those third parties are not controlled by Post Recall, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Some platforms may limit previews, extraction, or access to saved content. You are responsible for saving content you have the right to save and for complying with applicable laws and third-party terms.
App Privacy Details
For App Store privacy purposes, Post Recall may collect data that is linked to your identity, including contact information, user content, browsing history from saved URLs and source domains, search history, identifiers, purchases, product interaction data, other usage data, and diagnostics.
We use this data for app functionality, product personalization, analytics, diagnostics, account management, subscriptions, customer support, security, and legal compliance. We do not use this data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
Your Choices and Rights
You can update, archive, delete, tag, and edit saved items in the product where those controls are available. Paid plans may also include export options. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account and saved content by contacting support@postrecall.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Post Recall, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain backups. Deleted content, logs, and support records may remain in backups, archives, or provider systems for a limited period before they are removed through normal retention cycles.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including authenticated access to private account data, encrypted transport where appropriate, private file delivery through the Post Recall API, access controls, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Post Recall is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Post Recall evolves. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the product, website, email, or another reasonable method. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
